Concrete Canvas Ltd. was honoured to receive a visit from Dr Vince Cable and Baroness Jenny Randerson on Wednesday 27h August. The visit was part of the Secretary of States€™ visit to South Wales to announce Wales hosting an international investment conference.
The Welsh Government has issued a press release congratulating Concrete Canvas on its export success following the completion of a new contract in Chile. Business Minister Edwina Hart said: “It’s great news to hear how a Welsh company is benefiting from our support programmes to identify and target new markets that have great potential”.
As part of the UK governments’ Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) Concrete Canvas was featured as an exemplar construction product in resource efficiency. The report which focussed on CC ditch lining highlighted that CC reduced the amount of material required material wastage embodied carbon and water required for lining drainage ditches compared to in-situ or precast concrete solutions. After being voted top innovation by INSITE11 delegates as part of the show’s Innovation Zone Concrete Canvas won the oppertunity to demonstrate Concrete Canvas ditch lining at the BRE Innovation Park. The BRE Innovation Park is a world leading and ground breaking demonstration development designed to give a glimpse of how the future delivery of sustainable buildings and communities can be achieved not only in the UK but around the world.
