We received our second St. David Award. The Science, Technology and Innovation Award was presented by the First Minister of Wales at a ceremony in Cardiff.
This accolade acknowledges the groundbreaking work of everyone at Concrete Canvas in developing the revolutionary CCX product and its global impact.
SEPTEMBER 2022
Our newest product, CCX, was launched.
CCX™ has been developed specifically for canal lining and can be rapidly unrolled to line and remediate bulk water infrastructure.

In July 2022, we invited our sales partners from around the world to visit our headquarters in Pontyclun, South Wales. This was our biggest sales partner meeting to date.
We presented updates, case studies, and introduced our new CCT product range.

Our Pontyclun HQ added a Demonstration Park to showcase all of Concrete Canvas’ applications.
The concept was created by our UK & North America Business Development Manager, Phill Greer.

Concrete Canvas Ltd announced its expansion into the United States of America with the establishment of Concrete Canvas USA Inc.
The new CC USA office was opened in Houston, Texas and led by Melanie Fuhrman as US General Manager, with support from Phillip Greer, our Business Development Manager for UK & USA, at our UK Headquarters.
CC USA will take primary responsibility for the sale and master distribution of Concrete Canvas products across the United States.
As part of our expansion into the United States, we’re also delighted to announce our new membership of the Geosynthetic Institute (GSI) in order to support their excellent program of research and education.

In late Summer 2019, Concrete Canvas Ltd received confirmation that the British Board of Agrément (BBA) had awarded the company with certification for Concrete Canvas® and CC Hydro™. This means that CC now has a certified life expectancy in excess of 120 years, while CC Hydro™ has a certified life expectancy in excess of 50 years.
Our Technical Manager, Lee Church, visited the BBA’s Headquarters where he was presented with the certificates.

We sent two of our longest-serving employees, Jayne Williams and Marcin Kujawski, to Buckingham Palace for a celebration of the 2019 Queen’s Award winners.
We were once again honoured with of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

In Spring 2018, we purchasesd a new facility in Pontyclun, around 6 miles from our original factory in Pontypridd.
The new site is around three times the size of the Pontypridd facility, providing us with significant opportunities for continued growth, particularly in manufacturing and exports.

In August 2015, we celebrated 10 years since the incorporation of Concrete Canvas Ltd.

Concrete Canvas Ltd. was recognised in the national awards of Wales, winning one of just nine St David Awards, which ‘recognise and celebrate the exceptional achievements of people from all walks of life in Wales and abroad’.
Concrete Canvas was presented with the St David Award for Innovation by the First Minister for Wales, Carwyn Jones. We were nominated for the award by members of the public.

We launched a variant of Concrete Canvas, called CC Hydro, the world’s first all-in-one armoured impermeable liner for containment applications.
CC Hydro is rapidly becoming established within the petrochemical sector for secondary containment bund lining.

Concrete Canvas Ltd is named the 2nd fastest growing manufacturer in the UK in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100.
This was also the year we manufactured our one millionth square metre of Concrete Canvas™.

Concrete Canvas Ltd was honoured with the Queen’s Award for Innovation in Enterprise in 2014. Peter and Will were invited to meet the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
The Queen’s Award flag has been flying proudly at full mast outside our HQ ever since.

In 2013, Concrete Canvas Ltd was nominated as a finalist for the MacRobert Award, for the innovation of the Concrete Canvas material.
Founders William Crawford and Peter Brewin, along with UK Head of Sales, Phill Greer, attended the awards dinner. They were presented with a framed certificate of recognition by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne. They also got the chance to meet HRH, The Princess Royal Anne.

In 2012, we signed our first licensing agreement with a large corporation based in the USA. Milliken Corp. set up the first overseas production plant of the Concrete Canvas material in South Carolina, USA.

We begin commercial volume production of Concrete Canvas®.

Concrete Canvas Ltd relocates to our HQ and factory in Pontypridd, just outside Cardiff, South Wales.
AUGUST 2005
Concrete Canvas Ltd was incorporated on 16th August 2005 to begin commercial development of the shelter concept.
FEBRUARY 2004
In 2004, William Crawford and Peter Brewin developed a concept for creating rapidly deployable shelters for humanitarian disaster relief.
The concept: an inflatable formwork shelter with a cement filled geotextile lining that is delivered to site, folded within a palletised crate.
